Finally, the sweet Stevia plant can also be purchased in Israel, in pharmacies and nature shops.
Nufar company markets Stevia leaves in tea bags, which can be used to sweeten everything you want without adding calories and without raising your blood sugar. The taste is very sweet, but Stevia has an aftertaste that one should get used to (and it is worthwhile to do so).
The tea bag is soaked in a glass of warm water for ten seconds (the drink becomes too sweet if soaked longer than that). Each tea bag can be used five times.
Price: 76 NIS for a package containing one hundred tea bags.
