Dr. Peh - Mouth
An Israeli invention
Dr. Peh (Mouth) - a tea for assistance in the treatment of gingivitis
To prevent tooth decay and as an alternative to brushing teeth at work or when away from home
Developed in a partnership between the dentist, Dr. Micha Rosental
and the Israeli company, Nufar Natural Products.
"Dr. Peh", based on natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory medicinal herbs, is designed to preserve the health of teeth and gums.
Mr. Israel Solodoch, Nufar Natural Products CEO, says that one of the most outstanding advantages of this new product is that one can drink it at work and in other situations where tooth brushing is not possible.
Drinking "Doctor Peh" tea, or rinsing the mouth with the product, preserves dental, oral and periodontal hygiene, refreshes the mouth and prevents an unpleasant odor.
The new product is pleasant to drink without sugar, and contains several medicinal herbs including White leaved savory (Micromeria) which gives it an especially good flavor, similar to the taste of mint.
The companys CEO goes on to say, In this way we achieve a double effect. You enjoy and are refreshed by this flavorful tea while simultaneously preserving oral hygiene and preventing gingivitis and tooth decay.
Dr. Micha Rosental, one of the developers of the new tea, adds that: The product, Dr. Peh, also treats gingivitis in a systematic - internal systemic way. In other words, in addition to sterilizing the gums, teeth and mouth, by drinking this tea we also treat by strengthening the immune system internally and thus we prevent a return of the inflammation.
After drinking the tea, you can place the teabag on the location of the inflammation for about 5 minutes. This is most effective for healing gum inflammations and removing bad odors from the mouth deriving from the inflammation.
The product, "Doctor Peh" contains: knotweed, White leaved savory, medicinal sage, medicinal marigold, chamomile, common marjoram, thyme, and mint.
The active medicinal herbs found in Doctor Peh:
Medicinal marigold - an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, effective in treating wounds, gingivitis and sore throats. It contains poly-saccharides that help to strengthen the immune system.
Common marjoram - effective as a toothache reliever and for sterilizing wounds. It contains phenols which are known to be efficient in sterilizing and destroying fungi and bacteria.
White leaved savory (Micromeria) - contains antibacterial aromatic oils known to be effective as a pain reliever and for treating infections and inflammations.
Medicinal sage - contains flavonoids and phenols which are effective in treating gingivitis, sore throats and mouth ulcers. Method of treatment: drinking, rinsing the mouth and gargling.
Thyme - contains the thymol, flavonoids and tannins which are effective in treating toothache and gingivitis. It is efficient in sterilizing mouth ulcers and relieves pain.
The flavonoids in the herb, thyme, are anti-oxidants which assist in the treatment of gingivitis by neutralizing the toxins released by the bacteria, also by the flow of blood in the blood capillaries and by preventing the fragility and permeability of these delicate blood vessels.
The medicinal herbs referred to in this web site have been researched and published in professional literature. Everything stated above is within the scope of general information. Before starting any treatment, you are recommended to read further material and consult professionals.
What is gingivitis?
Gingivitis is caused by bacteria or such mechanical causes as brushing the teeth too vigorously.
Gingivitis is characterized by a receding gum line, bleeding, swelling, pain, infected pockets, a bad odor and taste in the mouth.
Gingivitis is liable to develop when two conditions are fulfilled: poor oral hygiene and a weakening of the bodys natural immune system.
A weak immune system could result from a poor diet (a lack of vitamin C), mental stress, smoking, prolonged fatigue and such chronic diseases as diabetes, etc.
Untreated gingivitis leads to a receding gum line and a loosening of the teeth that eventually become mobile and fall out.
After eating, if the teeth are not brushed, food residues remain in the gaps between the teeth. This food contains carbohydrates and sugars which the bacteria feed off, enabling them to reproduce and secrete toxins. As a result of this, the teeth begin to rot and the gums become swollen.
To prevent this, teeth should be brushed after every meal with a soft bristle tooth brush. Should we be outside the home and cannot brush our teeth, then the mouth should be rinsed with "Dr. Peh" which contains the anti-bacterial medicinal herbs mentioned above. Even if you brush your teeth, drinking Doctor Peh tea ensures the rinsing and sterilizing of all concealed locations and gaps that tooth brushing cannot reach
